there is anything symbolic of Prince Edward Island, it must be the
lobster!
Lobsters
were once so plentiful and very easy to catch that they were used
as fertilizer for fields and gardens. Things have certainly changed
now! Lobster fishing is strictly regulated and it is illegal to
catch your own.
Do
not put lobsters in fresh water. They will die very quickly.
Generally a lobster will live up to 36 hours out of the water if
kept in a damp, cool environment. They will keep well in the refrigerator
wrapped in a damp towel for this length of time.
